Grangetown Training & Employment Hub Wins National Award

The Hub Won Best Service Delivery Model at the 2018 Local Government Chronicle (LGC) Awards.

The Grangetown hub was established in early 2017 by a partnership between, among others, RCBC (Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council), FROG (Future Regeneration of Grangetown) and MGT Teesside Ltd. The ‘Best Service Delivery Model’ award was presented to the team by Channel 4 New presenter John Snow, who hosted the 2018 LGC awards event attended by over 1,000 senior figures in British local government. The Hub has now been shortlisted for another National award by the Government Chronicle. The winner of the award will be announced later this month.

"Regionally there has been much interest in replicating the Grangetown Training and Employment Hub Service Delivery Model and it is great to see that model now being recognised nationally. This is a well-deserved award for both those that came up with the concept and those that run the scheme on a day-to-day basis." Anju Sanehi, Director of Policy and Regulation at MGT Teesside Ltd.
